PR and Marketing Specialist for Children with Voices

Role Overview:

Children With Voices is a charity that has served the Hackney community for over 25 years. Despite our significant achievements and media coverage, we remain relatively unknown.

We are seeking an experienced PR and Marketing Specialist to help us rebrand and promote our work.

This role is crucial in showcasing our impact and raising awareness about the essential services we provide.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Rebranding Strategy:

    • Develop and execute a rebranding strategy to reflect our growth,           including our role as a Community Food Hub.

    • Create a consistent and engaging narrative that highlights our mission and achievements.

  2. Public Relations and Promotion:

    • Design and deliver PR campaigns to increase awareness of our work and future initiatives.

    • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure coverage and enhance our visibility.

    • Write compelling press releases, newsletters, and articles for various audiences.

  •  Content Creation:

    • Produce high-quality content for social media, websites, and other promotional materials.

    • Showcase our activities, including children’s holiday hunger programs, mental health awareness, arts and crafts, and healthy eating projects.

    • Highlight the support we provide to vulnerable families, children, elderly individuals, and those with disabilities.

  1. Community Engagement:

    • Collaborate with local schools, businesses, and organizations to build partnerships and promote our services.

    • Support our mission to offer alternative education and life skills programs for children, especially those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

  2. Advocacy and Fundraising:

    • Create campaigns that demonstrate our impact and attract funding or sponsorship.

    • Advocate for the establishment of a permanent community hub to expand our services, including activities for SEND children.

  3.  Performance Monitoring:

    • Measure the effectiveness of marketing and PR strategies, adjusting them as needed.

    •  Use data to demonstrate growth in awareness and community engagement.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1.  Proven experience in PR, marketing, and rebranding, preferably in the charity or non-profit sector.

  2. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable communities in Hackney.

This is a volunteer role.
